Our Crew

Robin (Rob) Leach is the founder and principal of Air Center One establishing the first corporate aircraft FBO in New Zealand in 1984. Rob holds a current US Airline Transport Pilot Certificate together with NZ and Canadian commercial licences and multi engine instrument ratings with Kenyan, Italian and French validations. He is type rated in the Cessna Citation and King Air 300 and has over 8,600 hours flight time, gained mainly on international ferry flights from the USA, Europe, England, Africa and Asia to New Zealand and Australia. This includes some 150 Trans Pacific crossings in a variety of single and multi engine aircraft. His early aviation career included 19 years an Air Traffic Controller, Beech King Air salesman and commuter pilot. Having seen the FBO business from both sides of the fence, Rob is conscious of the expectations and needs of corporate pilots and passengers operating international flights. Because he owns the business he has a passion to see that every customer is made to feel they are in good hands and that they receive a level of personal service not found in bigger FBO operations.
